Much better milage this week. I still probably should have fit in a 4th day running, but I did do a half-marathon length run, so I'll give myself a bit of a break there.
The big news of the week was running the Aravaipa Strong Virtual Race. I did the half marathon distance. I was initially disappointed with my overall time (2 hours 52 minutes) but then my watch informed me that I had a total of 363 meters of elevation gain over the run. And here I had thought to pick a fairly flat course!
Anyway, I have also decided that I need to do a lot more long (10+ mile) runs. My legs did fine until about mile 9.5, but they went rapidly downhill from there. And, at the end of the run, it actually was my leg strength and endurance that kept me from going faster, not my cardiovascular system.
